The large digital readout and bevelled top plate make the display easy to read. Systolic (reading when the Heartbeat occurs) Diastolic (between beats) and heartbeat are the 3 key measurements on the display.
Omron IntelliSense technology will inflate the Upper Arm Cuff to the exact level for accurate measurements whilst giving the most comfort. When the measurement is finished, it will deflate the cuff.
The Comfit Upper Arm Cuff is also exclusive to Omron. As the cuff is pre-formed it can be easily fitted with no assistance. The markings on the Cuff show the correct way to place it on the arm, making it difficult for incorrect fitting. It will fit anyone with an arm size between 9" and 17"
Accuracy with 2 Averaging Modes
Many people are prepared to pay a bit more to have the accuracy of measurements that the Omron series of Blood Pressure Monitors provide.
To ensure that Accuracy is exploited to the full, the Omron HEM-790IT has two Averaging systems.
TruRead Mode - This is a programmed mode that will take three measurements with intervals of 1 minute between each reading. The cuff will deflate and re-inflate for each reading. Once all readings are taken, the Average of all three is displayed.
Single Read Mode - The average of up to 3 measurements taken within a ten minute interval of the last reading.
Permanent Storage of Your Readings
Although up to 84 Measurements for 2 Users can be stored on the Omron HEM-790IT, there may be occasions when you need more memory (such as observing trends over a period of time)
Once these 84 memory locations are full, any further readings will start to overwrite data (starting from the first record) so they will be lost.
The Omron HEM-790IT comes with Omron Health Management Software and a USB lead to allow important readings to be transferred and stored permanently on your PC.
Blood Pressure and Pulse trends can be readily viewed in the form of a graph, once the Systolic, Diastolic and heartbeat measurements are saved to the PC.
Any measurements you want to look at can be viewed on the screen or printed in the form of PDF or CSV format to enable the Doctor to get a better idea of your day to day readings.
To power the Omron HEM-790IT, you have a choice between 4 x "AA" batteries or the supplied AC Adaptor. (only use Alkaline batteries)
When not in use, the Display Unit can be protected in the included Storage Case.
.As with all the Omron Blood Pressure units, reliability and accuracy come as standard.
